How Messy Mates started
Messy Mates is a kids party organisation servicing Perth metro up to Yanchep and Two Rocks. It was born from the success of my previous kids craft company Messy Mites Ltd based in the UK, set up in 2006. As I have moved from the UK to Perth, Australia, so have all my craft ideas and experience in creative play. It is not a franchise and is owned and run by me, Caroline Hazell and a wonderful team of talented party hosts working alongside me.
As an established portrait artist and a Mum of two I wanted to find a way to combine the two experiences. Messy Mites (UK) began as a toddlers craft group in March 2006 where children and their parents could enjoy an hour of craft projects in the usual toddler group setting. It quickly became popular throughout the summer holidays with older children and then came the requests for craft parties. Over time, the range of party services has developed as did the party menus to ensure more variety of popular themes and the inclusion of the best tried and tested FUN crafts for kids!
What does Messy Mates offer in Perth?
While the key objective is HAVING FUN, Messy Mates will offer the opportunity for younger children to explore concepts like colour, size, shape, same and different etc and allowing their senses to indulge in the variety of materials on offer. For the older children, they simply get to be as creative as they like in a social setting and the best bit is that they get to take home their masterpieces.
Messy Mates is suitable for children of all ages with themes ranging from traditional princess and pirate all the way through to favourite movies and tv characters. If you are struggling to know how to entertain a room full of kids, Messy Mates will offer a tailored party package to suit you and your child whether the party is taking place at home, in the garden or at a special venue. Just invite your child’s friends, bring the food and leave the rest to me.
